Tints is the new iPad app from Barrington Stoke that uses a number of special features to break down barriers for dyslexic or struggling readers.
A special layout tackles visual perceptive issues. A reading ruler helps readers track their way through text. The background tint can be changed to replicate the effects of coloured filters for children who use these to tackle reading issues. Subtle page depth graphics support mental mapping and recall.
There is also free content for parents and teachers, including video advice from Bernadette McLean, Principal of the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre.
